Garmin is one of the leading names in fitness tracking, with wearables designed for all types of athletes. The company recently launched two new Forerunner devices, the 265 and 965official and they come with some major improvements last year’s model. One of the biggest improvements here is the actual display, which is now AMOLED. Both models, with a variety of new fun colors, will be available for delivery in five to eight weeks. The price comes in at $450 and $600, respectively.
One thing Garmin knows well is offering impressive battery life. That’s no different here, even with the switch to AMOLED. The Forerunner 265 is said to last up to 13 days in smartwatch mode while the Forerunner 965 comes in at an impressive 23 days per charge. With the Forerunner 965, you get 32GB of onboard storage, up from 8GB on the 265, and it has a 1.4-inch display while the 265 comes in at 1.3 inches.
For many, the Garmin Forerunner 265 seems like a good choice, although there are some features that are only available on the Forerunner 965, such as Garmin Golf support, real-time stamina, heat acclimation, Strava Live features and so on. Most runners will find everything they need in a cheaper model, but if you want to be sure, upgrading to the Forerunner 965 will give you a lot more data to play with.
